Education kits & Development boards
We have a range of IoT development boards which are catered mainly to hobbyists and learners. These boards allow developers to create IoT projects in a relatively easier fashion compared to conventional boards. The associated libraries allow the developers to interface their projects easily with popular IOT cloud databases

The course in a box series are IOT kits with an integrated app based course. Each kit has all the components required to build the prototype of a simple IOT applications. Each kit has an accompanying mobile app based course which will guide you step by step. Using the course in a box kit, you will be able to learn IOT and simultaneously build simple IOT solutions.

WiNoT® IOT Platform

WiNoT® was initially conceptualized as an acronymn for Wireless Network Of Things. We started off the WiNoT journey with the philosophy that developers must be able to create IOT entities without requiring to understand complex socket programming knowledge. With time, we are adapting ourselves as we learn about these markets and are continously adapting our philosophies. WiNoT is no longer an acronymn. It is just WiNoT. WiNoT is pronounced as Why Not!

As we started building prototyps of Wireless enabled Things, we stumbled upon a big challenge. The industry did not have a standard protocol for IOT. IOT developers were using different protocols like REST, MQTT, COAP, etc., However these protocols were actually built for some other purposes and each developer was using it as per their own convenience. This prompted us to come up with a separate protocol for IOT. We came up with the IONMP protocol, which is a plug and play IOT protocol.

Using the IONMP protocol as the base, we developed the WiNoT® IOT framework, a complete framework for IOT. It is a complete readymade IoT platform with built in implementations for Endpoints, the Cloud service and the companion Smartphone App. Equipment manufacturers do not have to worry about the complexity involved in creating Smart & connected appliances. Our solution makes it possible for equipment manufacturers to create smart appliances without having to acquire special skills. This provides an opportunity to appliance manufacturers to convert their products into smart products in a cost effective way! The platform is available as a White-label solution, that is, customers will see the products with the equipment manufacturer's brand! White Labeling enhances the brand value with the customer. Since the equipment, server and the app always show the manufacturer's brand, customers experience the look and feel of the manufactuer's brand.

Take a look at the below videos that give an insight about the WiNoT platform. The videos are slightly long, but we hope that you will enjoy them!

Development boards
In any project, when we use breadboards, there could be a lot of wires running around in the circuit. This makes the entire setup quite cumbersome and also prone to errors. Many times, wires just come out of the breadboards or from other components. We end up spending a lot of time on debugging these, disconnected!, wires. This can be a daunting task, even for experienced developers. And certainly a nightmare for beginners. To address this, we have developed a series of project development boards. These boards have been designed in a way, such that, you can connect most of the common sensors, by simply using pairs of RMC wires. RMC stands for Relimate Connector.

1. Arduino Shield for IoT Project development
Arduino Uno is the most popular microcontroller among students, hobbyists and professionals for prototyping and developing electronic projects. However Arduino Uno does not have built in network capability. Added to this the components are typically connected using a breadboard with wires and this makes the projects extremely messy.
To overcome this, we have developed the Arduino Shield for IoT Project Development. This board has a built-in WiFi module. The WiFi module has built in support to interface directly with popular cloud databases.
The board has RMC connectors using which you can connect most of the common sensors and actuators. The connections can be made either by using RMC connectors or by using Dupont Connectors. RMC stands for Relimate Connector. Dupont wires are also called as Jumper wires. This combination of WiFi module and connectors makes it very easy to build IoT projects using Arduino.

2. ESP Development board for IoT
The ESP 8266 development board is a development board using which developers can build IOT projects using the popular ESP8266 board. The board uses NODEMCU as the ESP microcontroller.
The board has several RMC connectors using which most of the common sensors and actuators can be directly connected using RMC connectors.

Course in a box kits
The course in a box series are IOT kits with an integrated app based course. Each kit has all the components required to build the prototype of a simple IOT applications. Each kit has an accompanying mobile app based course which will guide you step by step. Using the course in a box kit, you will be able to learn IOT and simultaneously build one IOT solution.

One of the big differentiators with our kit is that, with our kits, you DONT just get a box of sensors and actuators. You get a package of sensors and actuators using which you can build one or more meaningful prototypes. You also get a tutorial app which will guide you about each component as a separate entity and also about how to use these components together to build a project.
You will learn the fun way!

IONMP

IONMP protocol specification is a protocol developed by Qantom to specifically address the issue that there is no standard protocol implementation for IOT. IONMP stands for Input Output Nodes Messaging Protocol. The protocol specification allows for a plug-and-play mechanism and allows interoperability between IOT end-points. This protocol allows sensors and actuators to advertise their identity and capabilities. The protocol also specifies how sensors publish their readings and how actuators and other output devices can be controlled.

IONMP protocol is an Open standards protocol and thus anybody can use the protocol for their needs. The protocol specification is available at IONMP GIT Repository
We have created an opensource reference implementation using the IONMP Protocol. Check out the ThingsPing page for more details.
