A Banyan tree sends off new shoots from its roots, so that one tree is really a tangle of branches, roots, and trunks. The banyan tree regenerates and lives for an incredible length of time--thus it is thought of as the immortal tree.

Product Testing Services

Product development lifecycle is different from a project lifecycle. Obviously the testing of products takes a different meaning when compared to short term project testing. With our long association with products, we understand the pain, pleasure and power of product testing very well and are very well equipped to handle software product testing. Qantom strives to create a long term association with the product. Here Qantom takes over the SQA activities of a product either in entirety or as parts of the product and then owns the day-to-day testing activities of the product. Qantom's rich experience in the field of Product testing lets you outsource your worries about your product's SQA without compromising on the power and flexibility of in-house testing.

Model: In this model, one senior engineer from Qantom works closely with the developers of the product interacting with them on a day-to-day basis. Qantom also sets up the test bed required at the test lab here at Bangalore working in association with the client. After understanding the working of the system, resources are assigned as virtual owners of different features of the product. Typically, this ownership is constantly rotated and not tied to a particular resource. After a little while, the feature owner transfers ownership to another resource while himself moving on to a differnt feature. This sort of a rotation has multi-fold advantages:

  • Over a period of time, there are multiple resources who understand the same feature quite well.
  • In a reasonably sized product, typically there are enough features so that the resources constantly get to move on from their current task and thus dont get bogged down by the monotony of testing
  • Since at any point of time, one resource completely owns one feature, the same resource wears different hats of a test designer, test executor and eventually test automator. This does a great deal of justice to the feature as there is a lesser likelyhood of a disconnect between the various roles.
